With vegan and gluten-free cakes and desserts, there is another way - the sweet and natural one. I’m Paolla Frias, a qualified Pastry Chef and Owner at Amora.

 

Naturally exotic

Born in Brazil, to Italian and Spanish family heritage, you could say my background is an exotic one, and with exotic comes amazing food, so naturally, I was surrounded by a range of culinary delights from a very young age.

As a little girl in Brazil, I would regularly ooh and aah over my grandmother’s cooking. I loved watching her cook and particularly loved tasting every bite of everything she made! At the ripe age of 10, my grandmother finally began teaching me how to cook and bake and it was from that moment, I knew I wanted to be a chef. In fact, I had to be a chef! I was hooked.

I spent many years cooking and baking in Brazil, before moving to Perth, Western Australia in 2008 where I completed a Pastry Chef course.

Three years later, I discovered I could turn my hand to creating mouth-watering cakes and desserts with wholly wholesome vegan and gluten-free ingredients and Amora Sweet and Natural was born.

Why vegan and gluten-free?

My interest in healthier options developed as I learned more about health, allergies, food intolerances and the human body in general, and I wanted people to be able to satisfy their desire for something sweet while keeping healthy. So, I poured even more love into my cake and dessert creations, the natural way.

Now, I specialise in creating sweet and natural recipes that will not only nourish the body but also delight the palate of anyone with special dietary needs or allergies (and everyone else for that matter).

And because I only bake vegan and gluten-free, you can have peace of mind that you will be getting just that and nothing else – always.
